Built seductively in an enclave of ancient oak conservation woodland, the main drive meanders through the trees, and the lakes glint invitingly from between the villas as you pass by.

There’s something about spending time next to water that slows the pace of life right down. Gentle fountains tickle the mirror surfaces of the water to reflect twinkling sunlight from the resulting ripples, and all you can see and feel is sky, space and harmony.

Not that there’s any shortage of things to do. You can explore around the lakes, fountains, bridges and paved nature trails on foot or using pedal power, as the trees filter the sun and shade intermittently. There is also a playground area for the kids, if they have any reserves of energy left from the excitement of Disney and Universal.

The local wildlife certainly approve of Cumbrian Lakes as you are likely to see osprey, crane, blue heron, bald eagles and other species. It’s a feast for the senses.

What Is The Standard Of The Villas?

Quiet wide streets, and pleasing design complete the vista of Cumbrian Lakes. Unlike many resorts, care has been taken to ensure that each villa appears different to the next, and each has it’s own unique character.

Lush sub-tropical flora blends in with sensational architecture. You’ll find houses of all sizes here, from 3 bedrooms to 6 or more, on one or two levels.
Many villas have a great view of the lakes, and many more back onto to woodland, giving a feeling of seclusion.

Great care has been given to attention to detail, not just in the villas themselves, but also in the construction of attractive pathways, and in optimizing the road layout to make the most of the lakeshores.

The villas have a variety of attractive designs that are bright and welcoming. Private enclosed pools are a must. Many also have spas, and some have a balcony for an improved the view of the surroundings.

Where Is Cumbrian Lakes?

It’s hard to find a better location. So close to the theme parks, the shops, bars and restaurants, and so perfectly positioned for great access to the major road systems and the airports, yet situated just off one of the quieter roads ensuring traffic is not a problem.

From central Highway 192, you will only travel 3 to 4 miles south on Poinciana Boulevard. From here you can easily access Interstate 4, International Drive or John Young Parkway.

How Close Are The Theme Parks?

Cumbrian Lakes is a great place to ensure you minimize driving and maximize fun, as you can be at the entrance to DisneyWorld in around 10 minutes, with the other theme parks not too much further away. Traffic build ups tend to be further West of the junction with Interstate 4, on Highway 192, so as you will be to the East of the junction, getting to the theme parks is easy and stress free.

Are There Any Local Attractions?

Even closer than Disney, you are only 5 minutes from Highway 192, which has some really great attractions nearby, including Old Town with its fairground, 50’s diners and vintage car and bike parades, Medieval Times and Boggy Creek Airboat Rides. Gatorland is near too.

Where Can I Go To Eat Or Drink?

Highway 192 again. There are countless restaurants and bars, from the familiar chains to more unique experiences. You could breakfast at Perkins, lunch at Olive Garden, or have dinner at Capone’s. All only 5 minutes away from Cumbrian Lakes. If you don’t feel like driving, you know that you’re close enough for a brief taxi ride for a handful of dollars. That also means take away deliveries are within easy reach too.

How About Shopping?

Take a short cut along Oren Brown, and you’re just a couple of minutes from a 24 hour Walmart for those supplies. There’s also a petrol station at the junction of Poinciana and Highway 192. Of course you benefit from the same great access to Florida’s famous shopping malls, as you do to the theme parks.

All in all Cumbrian Lakes offers an oasis of calm in the center of all the thrills, spills and adventure that you could ever ask for.
