Senior Moments At SeaworldSeaworld is a wonderful park for those us who like to sit and enjoy being entertained, rather than do thrill rides all day. Did you know they have special rates and a special day so that we can enjoy our senior moments ? Just show proof of age; at the front gate ticket window to receive $8 off regular adult park admission on Tuesdays, and $5 off any other day of the week. I usually have an annual pass because at $84 (special senior rate) with free parking and 10% off everything I buy in the park, I always get good value from it. Yes, Tuesday is Seniors Day. Its $8 dollars cheaper than any other day of the week and they put on special events or seminars as they call them, for us to enjoy. Before each seminar, we can grab a bite to eat at Cypress Bakery by purchasing a $5 voucher valid for a continental breakfast. Vouchers are available at the ticket windows located at the main entrance. I find this is enough to set me off for the morning, but you have to hurry because the seminars start at 10 am Seating is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. Don’t forget that, just like Disney, events may be altered at any time . I have seen events listed from begonias to beer brewing and belugas to Latin American cookery demonstrations I have so many favourite things at this park and I never find it tiring because there are so many things to do if you start to fade. My personal favourites, other than the shows are:- underwater viewing of the dolphins or the manatees, early morning at Pacific Point Preserve, listening to the live music in the Key West area, hanging out in the Shamu stadium when most people have left, watching the Dalmatian at the back of the Shire Horse area, finally the Hospitality Centre where my husband enjoys his free beer and I chill out . Make sure that you catch the Pet Show it is very popular but doesn’t have many showings, so don’t leave it too late or you may miss out. I do enjoy The Shamu Rocks America show, in the evening but this is often a beautiful time to stroll around the park in peace and then get away just before the rush starts.
