EatingWe love staying in our villa and having the option of eating in or out while on holiday. We do cook a lot of meals at the villa, BBQ’s are a favourite and we all like sitting around a chatting while dinner is in the oven. The food that we buy in Orlando is always great quality and I can highly recommend Publix supermarkets for some really lovely meat and vegetables.On the nights where we do not fancy cooking a meal at the villa we have a list of firm favourite restaurants that we visit. We don’t like to stray to far from the villa if we have had a long day or are having an early start the next day, so we normally try and stay on the US27 for restaurants. We LOVE Cracker Barrel – the food is excellent and the choice is fantastic. We love sitting outside of the deck in the rocking chairs while we wait for our table. We also love the décor inside the restaurant; it is very charming and has a lovely family feel to it. The food is always served quickly and we have never had a bad meal there. The puddings are great, but we normally have to get these to go as we are always so full up after our meal! The shop that is attached to the restaurant is also a favourite place to stop and pick up some really lovely gifts for family back home! We also love to visit Denny’s for a quick snack dinner. The menu here is very diverse and you can order anything 24 hours a day. The Mini Cheese Burgers that they sell are really good – they have a mustard and onion relish on them and are yummy! They also do food to go, so you can call ahead, place your order and collect it if you want an early night at the villa! We normally try and have breakfast here a few times on holiday – they do the best French toast to! Thanks to recently completed building work we now have a Applebee’s and a Chilli’s that are also really close by. The Chilli’s is wonderful. They have a lovely menu and the restaurant is very clean, the staff are very attentive too! We have yet to try the new Applebee’s but will visit there on our next trip – so watch this space!
