Eating out in Orlando Florida

Florida Guide > Dining

There are literally hundreds of different food outlets to choose from in Florida it all really depends on what type of food you like to eat, here are just a few:

There are a number of restaurants that serve what we Brits would think of as typically American food such as steaks, burgers, chicken fillets mostly with fries etc I have a couple of favourites such as TGI Fridays and Chili' s. TGI would have to be my favourite and it is a quite popular depending on its location, there are quite a few situated around the tourist spot of Orlando, the staff in TGI' s always seem to be really friendly and very helpful, I have to say I have never had a bad meal or poor service there.I love the TGI Jack Daniels sauce and this is a speciality of TGI' s and I often have their Steak and Shrimp Combo the best of both worlds they offer a good selection of Steak, Chicken, Fish and Italian dishes so there is something for everyone.

If steak is your thing then you have come to the right country and there are lots of specialist steak houses where they serve flame grilled steaks that taste wonderful, one that is well known in the Kissimmee area would be K J Kools where they cook their steaks over an open wood fire grill for extra flavour, the food is good but it can be expensive when compared to places like TGI' s or Chilli' s.

If Italian food is your thing then there are lots of Italian restaurants but my choice would be the Olive Garden, they have a vast array of Italian dishes to choose from including Chicken, Pasta and Seafood choices . I would suggest that you start with a salad which is superb and unlimited good for filling the hungry kids up before the main meal arrives, the Pasta dishes are excellent and well recommended as with TGI' s it does tend to get busy and you may have to wait for a table at busy times.

Should you fancy something different then why not try Bob Evans where they serve good wholesome American family food, such as County Fried Steak, Chicken and Noodles or Slow Roasted Dinners. This is more a café style diner. All cooked from fresh they taste superb and can be a great change from the regular tourist type food outlets and worth a quick mention is the Breakfast at Bob Evans which is really very good although slightly different from the Buffet type breakfast that we usually get, such with choices like Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, . meatloaf and pasta dishes.
