My wife is very keen on visiting Cracker Barrel each time that we are in Florida, for the arty stuff in the shop part, she spends hours looking around the place, I’m happy to sit in one of the rocking chairs outside and wait for her, so last time that we were over in Florida, we thought that we would try the restaurant, in we went, nice surroundings and looking forward to a similarly nice meal, we enjoy good meals but are quite happy with OK meals as long as we not overcharged for the type of meal that it is, anyway, we sat at the table and eventually our waitress came to get our order.
Again, we waited and eventually our meal was brought to us, I must say that they were extremely busy on that night, but coped admirably. I had meat loaf which was absolutely delicious, I like meatloaf and was really looking forward to it, my sons country gravy I think they call it, it looked like pale custard, white stuff, was enjoyed so much by him, he asked for seconds, and I am not joking, I have forgotten what my wife ordered but she was equally complimentary about her meal, and my youngest son, who is very fussy about food said that it was OK, believe me, for him that is a compliment.
It seems that the meal that we experienced is common, as we have received many recommendations for the place, and it is only a couple of miles from our villa.
Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying his or her meal so we took it that all meals were of a good standard. Our management Company, who evidently eat there quite regularly, were not very surprised at what we found, as stated, they eat there quite regularly and they say that they have never had a bad meal there.
Somehow though, I think that I will be fighting a loosing battle in trying to pursued my family to go again in the very near future, particularly as my wife really likes Bahama Breeze for both the entertainment, food and ambience, my meat eating older son Logans, his girlfriend, who now seems to be a regular visitor to our villa likes the pub at Celebration, and my fussy younger son Chick Filla, any Chick Filla, anywhere.
