Wow! Standing on our plot of land, looking out on uninterrupted views over the dry retention and conservation areas in the distance, we immediately knew that we had made the right choice. The ‘icing on the cake’ came later that day, as we stood in awe, watching the last golden hues of the sun slowly slipping down behind the trees. After watching the spectacular sunset, we knew that the interior of Citrus Ridge would have to be just as special as the views from the back.

As an added bonus, the pool/spa and deck area is bathed in full sun from mid-morning to sunset.

Citrus Ridge Villa gets its name from the orange, lemon and grapefruit trees planted behind the pool deck.

Welcome to our beautiful home, Citrus Ridge.

Our vacation home is located in the peaceful, yet conveniently situated, community of Four Corners and is an ideal base for the theme parks. Disney is a 10-15 minute drive, SeaWorld 20 minutes, and Universal 25-30 minutes drive. For the shopaholics, the Florida and Millennium Malls, and Premium Outlets, are within a half-hour drive.

The layout of our home is single storey, open-plan - and huge – 1923 square feet of living area plus a games room in the garage.

The three bedrooms lead off from the hallway area: to the right is the impressive Master Bedroom which has been sumptuously furnished with lots of extras: King Size (UK SuperKing) pillow-topped mattress, large screen cable TV, DVD player, relaxation area, small digital safe, large walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with an oversized bath and separate walk-in shower.

To the left of the hallway is the Queen Room with plush furnishings and 24" cable TV, and a PS2 with games, with ample closet space. Bedroom 3 is the Twin Room which has been brightly decorated with a coral seas theme. It is here that our guests can find the cable TV and a second PS2 with games, if you ever need a break from the Florida sunshine. The second bathroom with shower can be found between these two bedrooms and full sized hairdryers are provided in both bathrooms. All linens and towels, including pool towels, are provided.

The hallway leads to the Living Room where the inviting sofa and loveseat may tempt you to spend a few quiet moments with a good book (a selection of books can be found in the villa for our guests) or perhaps play chess, checkers or backgammon on the game table and where the PC with internet access is located – ideal for finding directions to that fabulous restaurant you’ve heard so much about!

Then on to the Family Room – this is where you can sink into the hugely comfortable sofas and maybe watch digital cable TV (with some HD channels) or one of the DVDs provided, on the massive 52” HD TV, complete with home theater surround sound. If your eyes need a break, switch on the portable radio/CD player and lose yourself in music (a selection of CDs are also on hand)

The dining area with its elegant, but comfortable, dining furniture (which seats six with room to spare) enjoys views of the pool, deck and conservation area through the sliding patio doors.

The Kitchen area – whether you plan to cook a meal, serve the takeaway, or just pour a cooling cocktail or long drink, this kitchen should have everything you need, with a full size cooker, hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer with ice maker, garbage disposal, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender and kettle. There is ample cutlery, flatware, crockery, glassware and pans (and cocktail shaker!), as well as outdoor unbreakable crockery for on-deck dining. There is a large kitchen island if you prefer casual dining. You will also find a telephone with answerphone so that you never need to miss a call from friends or family. Here you can also find the rechargeable walkie talkies - ideal for keeping in contact with each other around the theme parks.

There is no need to take home suitcases full of dirty washing as we have a separate Laundry Room, which houses the full size washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

Finally – outside to the oversize private pool/jacuzzi (28’ x 14’) and extended decking area. The pool is protected by a removable safety fence to keep the little ones safe. As mentioned previously, the pool deck has uninterrupted views over the dry retention and conservation areas and also looks out on the various citrus trees planted in the garden. In season, why not pick a lemon to add to that long, cooling drink which you can enjoy at your leisure. At night you can switch on the multi-coloured underwater lighting and listen to the background sound of the crickets. You can relax and unwind on the high quality padded Patio Furniture and pool toys/inflatables are provided. There is a one-twist timer on the pool deck for simple operation of the spa by our guests. Just twist to the required time and wait - the valves (and heat, if booked) are automatically switched to spa and it will bubble away to your heart's content, and switch itself off once the desired time has elapsed.

A pair of hawks have made their home on Four Corners and can often be seen circling overhead, as well as the occasional friendly armadillo, and tortoise that have been spotted from our home and a family of deer by the edge of the conservation area.

If you fancy a change why not play one of the selection of card games/board games/lego and books etc which have been left for guests to enjoy.

We have also converted our garage into a Games Room for your enjoyment. Centre stage is the large pool table, or why not get in some practice on the roll-a-ball game, so that on your next trip to Seaworld you can walk away with that 4ft cuddly stuffed toy that you have always wanted! Electronic Basketball and air hockey is added and is always a hit with the kids and adults alike. An electric fan is provided.

Please note, smoking is not permitted within the villa. Pets are not allowed.
